In case you haven't heard yet, Henry Cavill is officially back as Superman and following his jaw-dropping cameo in Black Adam, the actor promised fans that they'll see more of him in future projects. Days prior to his announcement, it was reported that WB Discovery is already developing Man of Steel 2 and naturally, it had fans demanding the merger for Zack Snyder's DCU reinstatement. Question is, will it actually happen?
Appearing on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cavill was in for a major surprise as the Justice League director sent in a question for the actor he describes as "the greatest Superman ever". Snyder asked: "When we first did Man of Steel, and we were doing the flying shots for the first time when we put it in the belly pan or on the wires… did it feel odd to be just there in front of a green screen doing your flying shots with us just dutching the camera?"
"Having to act like you're flying but before you'd ever seen what it might look like or what it might feel like, was that… How was that? Was that odd or did you expect it to turn out the way it did? That's my question," he continued.
Snyder concluded his question with a major tease about a future collaboration with Cavill. "I can't wait to work with you in the future and you are, of course, the greatest Superman ever."
Cavill would then respond by saying how "enormously appreciative" he is of what the director has done for his career. The actor said: "He's a lovely man, he's a lovely man and I am enormously appreciative of everything he's done for me, especially by casting me in Man of Steel. Those are formative memories of mine career wise. It was when everything changed. I remember them fondly, fondly hanging above fields in Illinois. Amazing memories and a lot to be thankful for. Zack, if you're watching, thank you my friend."

Of course, we still don't know what the future holds for Zack Snyder in the DCU but considering how The Rock found a way to bring Cavill back, the idea of Snyder being next in line isn't exactly farfetched to believe.
As it stands, details surround Man of Steel 2 are still being kept under wraps.
