Zack Snyder Shares First Look at Knightmare Batman in Justice League Snyder Cut

It looks like the Knightmare timeline will finally be explored in Zack Snyder's Justice League. The director has just shared the first look at Batman in the bleak future in the upcoming Snyder Cut.

We first got a glimpse at the Knightmare timeline in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where Bruce Wayne finds himself attacked by parademons and captured by an evil Man of Steel. However, this timeline was notably absent in the theatrical cut of Justice League.

Not surprisingly, the Knightmare timeline will be revisited in the Snyder Cut. Snyder has just shared an image on his official Vero account showing Ben Affleck in the Knightmare suit. Check it out below.

It's not exactly a huge surprise that the Knightmare timeline will be featured in the new Justice League. After all, it was strongly suggested in Batman v Superman that this was an important part of Snyder's planned storyline and would be essential to the Snyder Cut.

There are speculations that the climactic battle in the Snyder Cut will take place in the Knightmare timeline considering that the brief scene showing Darkseid appears to be in the same setting. With that in mind, we'll be looking forward to more parademons this March.

The official runtime for Zack Snyder's Justice League has not yet been revealed although the director has confirmed it will be over four hours long. This could mean that it will be released in four different parts next month.

The Snyder Cut is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max on March 18.
