Zack Snyder Reveals Army Of The Dead First Look With Dave Bautista

Zack Snyder might not be at San Diego Comic-Con but he has a good reason for skipping the event. The Justice League director has just confirmed that he is still busy working on his new film Army of the Dead and has shared the first official look at the cast led by Avengers: Endgame star Dave Bautista.

Snyder shared the image on his Vero account as a way to explain his SDCC absence. Check it out below.

"Couldn't make it to #SDCC2019 because we're busy killing zombies," Snyder wrote. He added the hashtags #AOTD and #Firstlook.

That certainly looks like a solid team you don't want to mess with especially if you're a zombie. It's also great to see Bautista is getting more awesome roles before working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Needless to say, we're already looking forward to this new Netflix film.

The official description for Army of the Dead reads as follows:

"The adventure is set amid a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, during which a man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantined zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted."

The movie will star Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Chris D'Elia, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Rich Cetrone.

Army of the Dead is Snyder's first directorial work after 2017's Justice League. The film is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
