Zack Snyder Breaks Silence on The Boys Season 3's Justice League Parody

Recently, the highly-anticipated official trailer for the third season of The Boys was released which gave us our full look at the return of our favorite characters and the introduction of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. Fans have been looking forward to the upcoming season which promises yet again another violent and bonkers adventure in the world of the series.

As part of the upcoming season's promotional campaign, the show's social media page released a trailer for the in-universe film Dawn of the Seven: The Bourke Cut which is essentially a parody of last year's Zack Snyder's Justice League. Just like the Snyder Cut, the caption also used the hashtag "#ReleaseTheBourkeCut" which is a homage to the famous "#ReleaseTheSnyderCut" campaign that led to the release of the film.

To the surprise and delight of fans, Zack Snyder himself gave a tongue-in-cheek response to the trailer on Twitter by "congratulating" Adam Bourke and sharing his "excitement" for seeing his "vision realized."

Snyder's reaction to the trailer prompted some responses from those who are involved in The Boys including star Antony Starr, showrunner Eric Kripke, and visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet.

It is wonderful to see Snyder responding to the promotional material since it is a homage and tribute to his version of Justice League that was released last year and he acknowledged that it has become part of pop culture now that a series like The Boys was able to make a parody out of it.

There is no doubt that The Boys is currently one of the most popular superhero TV shows thanks to its unique vision and bonkers tone that explores the world of superheroes in such a visceral and ballsy way that some other superhero shows wouldn't even dare to do. It would curious to see if this promotional material is a clue on an event that will happen in the upcoming season.
