Recently, Rolling Stone published an article that reveals some of the behind-the-scenes drama that happened in Zack Snyder's Justice League including the findings that some of the accounts behind the Snyder Cut campaign are bot-generated and theories that the director weaponized his fanbase. People such as Ray Fisher have chimed in on the allegations and, now, Zack Snyder himself has shared his reaction.
The day after the article was published, Snyder posted on Vero his reaction by sharing a graphic with the words "If I advance follow me, If I retreat me kill me, If I die avenge me." As pointed out by The Direct, the director was previously seen wearing a t-shirt with that quote during the production of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
While it looked like Snyder posted a cryptic response, he already denied most of the claims when the outlet asked him for comments on the allegations that they uncovered during their investigation for the article. Snyder's Vero post also comes on the same day as the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League on digital platforms.
The article became one of the most-talked-about topics on social media with some Snyder fans disputing the claims and calling it a "hit piece" on the director and the fandom while there are some who thought that the responses proved the points that the article was making.
Despite the divisive reactions in the aftermath of the article, it looks like none of the conversations whether it's positive or negative will bring back Snyder to the DCEU as he already moved on with his Netflix projects and the current Warner Bros. brass is different from the time when Snyder was making Justice League.
It's interesting to see whether there will be more follow-up reports or reactions that will happen as a result of the article. All we know is that Warner Bros. has no plans at all to "restore the Snyder-verse."
