Zack Snyder Basically Confirms His Robin’s Gruesome Death

Though Zack Snyder won't be able to complete the entire DCEU story he was going to tell, HBO Max has given him the chance to at least finish his first Justice League movie. With Jared Leto set to reprise Joker in the film, a lot of people are once again posting up fan theories about his Clown Prince of Crime. What's interesting is, Snyder may as well have confirmed one fan theory.

The fan theory basically posits that Robin was beat and set on fire in Wayne Manor, and that's why it was in a state of ruin in Batman v Superman. What's more, it also speculates that Leto actually knows Batman's identity and is keeping it to himself.

While this was just a fan theory when it was posted up, it actually got Snyder's attention and he gave the post a like—leading a lot of fans to believe that this theory had hit a mark.

If you're wondering where people got Robin's cause of death from, it had been confirmed by costume designer Doug Stewart on IG. He captioned a photo of Robin's costume: "A bit of detail on Robin's gauntlet. He was brutally murdered and then set ablaze by the Joker. The story had to be told in the salvaged costume on display inside the Batcave."

As for the identity of which Robin was killed, it had been said by Snyder that it was actually Dick Grayson, but a lot of fans wish he would change his mind since Grayson needs to become Nightwing. Then again, Snyder was fine killing off Jimmy Olsen, so anything goes with his version of the DCEU.

For now, Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to hit HBO Max sometime in 2021.
