Zack Snyder Approves Of Robert Pattinson As The New Batman

People are still trying to deal with the fact that Robert Pattinson has officially been cast as the new Batman in Matt Reeves' film. However, it looks like Zack Snyder already likes the idea of "Battinson."

It's no secret that Snyder has been outspoken about casting Ben Affleck in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League because he seems to have something against "short Batmen." Nevertheless, the Watchmen director clearly approves of Pattinson. Someone took a screenshot of Stephen Colbert's post about the casting on Vero, which Snyder immediately liked.

OK, so we wouldn't say that Snyder is "hyped" about the whole Battinson thing but hey, he gave it the thumbs up so he obviously isn't against the casting. After all, Pattinson has proven that he is a great actor and has shed the entire sparkly vampire role he once took when he was much younger. This could be Snyder's way of saying "let's give the boy a chance."

Not much is known about The Batman for now but Pattinson could play the Caped Crusader in more than just one movie. It was previously reported that the Water for Elephants star may have been offered a contract to appear in two more Batman films. Additionally, the new trilogy could be completely separate from the established DC Extended Universe flicks that Snyder worked on. We're just not sure how Snyder feels about that just yet.

The Batman is expected to begin production later this year and is already scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
