The Batman Could Reintroduce Robin Alongside Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne

The recent casting of Robert Pattinson in The Batman has certainly had people wondering what will happen in the Matt Reeves project. Will we see a younger Bruce Wayne still dealing with the death of his parents? And could the Caped Crusader reunite with his young sidekick Robin?

So far, the only character confirmed to appear in The Batman has been Batman himself. However, Forbes has pointed out that the movie could also bring back the Boy Wonder as the crimefighter's young partner in crime. If this happens, it could be the first time since 1997's Batman and Robin that the two would be seen together on the big screen.

Interestingly, there hasn't been any casting news for The Batman that mentioned a young boy. Well, there aren't any casting news at all although there are rumors that the film could feature numerous villains including Penguin, Catwoman, and the Riddler. On the other hand, the movie has just confirmed its lead star and there could be more updates in the near future.

Although it's still highly unlikely that Robin could be introduced in The Batman, there is a possibility that the character could show up in the future. It was previously reported that Warner Bros. could be optioning Pattinson out for two more Batman films so it wouldn't be a surprise if Robin eventually pops up.

It is still unclear when The Batman will begin production. Nevertheless, the film is currently scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
