Zachary Levi Wants The Nathan Drake Role In Uncharted Movie Starring Tom Holland

It looks like Zachary Levi also wants a shot at becoming Nathan Drake – well, if Sony's deal with Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland breaks up, that is.

Shazam! actor Zachary Levi attended the 2019 CCXP Cologne in Germany last weekend, and during a panel with fans (via ComicBook.com) the DC Extended Universe star was asked which videogame franchise he'd like to lead if he were ever given the chance.

Apparently, Levi's always wanted a shot at starring in the Uncharted videogame franchise and now the actor is hoping that he'd be given a chance at taking the lead role in a live-action adaptation of the game. The actor even went ahead and called the game's developer, Naughty Dog, just so that he could know which studio had rights to the game.

Levi told fans at the convention:

I played the first Uncharted when it first came out, I was like, ‘That dude's the new Indiana Jones, I want to be the new Indiana Jones, I'm finding out where the movie rights are.' And I called Naughty Dog, and I got on the phone with whoever, I was like, ‘Hi, you don't know me, I'm an actor in Los Angeles, who has the film rights to your video game?' And they were like, ‘Oh no, they've already been bought off, it was Avi Arad,' and the whole deal. But 100 percent, that is such a fun franchise, I hope they make that, I still hope they make that. Apparently, Tom Holland is attached to be Nathan Drake, a young version of Nathan Drake, he's a very talented and upstanding gentleman, so I wish him nothing but luck. But if that doesn't work out, I would love to be Nathan Drake.

Levi would make a loveable Nathan Drake, though we're not quite sure if he'd really fit in the role. Actors like Chris Pratt and Nathan Fillion would have fit the part much better, but Sony is going for a younger version of Nathan Drake, casting Holland in the lead role.

Besides, Levi probably wouldn't have time for an Uncharted movie seeing as he's currently set to continue playing Shazam in the DCEU.

Would Zachary Levi make a good Nathan Drake? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Holland's latest movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, is currently screening in cinemas.
