K-drama fans were delighted upon hearing that Yoo Yeon Seok might reprise his role in the much awaited series, Dr. Romantic 3.
The 39-year-old actor initially appeared as the lead star in season 1 and had a brief appearance in season 2.
However, as SBS gears up for the highly anticipated return of the beloved Teacher Kim and the Doldam staff, rumor has it that Yoo Yeon Seok will have a cameo in Dr. Romantic 3.
Is It True? Yoo Yeon Seok to Have a Cameo in Dr. Romantic 3?
In a report cited by SPOTV News, Yoo Yeon Seok is scheduled to make a special appearance; however, drama officials have responded to news regarding the actor’s cameo.
According to a different media outlet, a representative mentioned that "it is difficult to confirm" at the moment.
Following the update, viewers are looking forward to seeing Yoo Yeon Seok play the role of Kang Dong Joo, one of Teacher Kim’s students, along with Yoon Seo Jung, played by Seo Hyun Jin.
In the season finale of Dr. Romantic, Dr. Kang left for his military service. The same goes for his colleague, Dr. Yoon, who also left Doldam Hospital for the US to pursue her training as a specialist.
On the other hand, Yoo Yeon Seok will be making his small screen comeback through the upcoming K-drama A Very Lucky Day and will headline the series together with Lee Sung Min and Lee Jung Eun.
Dr. Romantic 3 Cast and Release Date
While viewers are waiting to see if Yoo Yeon Seok will return as Dr. Kang in Dr. Romantic 3, several familiar and new faces will appear in the much awaited sequel.
Interestingly, after three years, Han Suk Kyu returns as the legendary surgeon Teacher Kim, or Kim Sa Bu, who was once a famous city doctor but chose to work in a shabby hospital called Doldam due to an incident.
At the suburban hospital, he encountered different kinds of emergency situations and new staff.

Dr. Romantic 3 will showcase the comeback of the lovely duo Chae Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin, played by Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop.

To recall, the finale episode of season 2, featured a budding romance between the rookie doctors.
On the other hand, adding to the list of returning cast members are Jin Kyung, Kim Min Jae, Kim Joo Heon, So Ju Yeon, and more.
As for the release date of Dr. Romantic, the medical K-drama is slated to premiere on April 28 with a total of 16 episodes.
