Yoda Almost Appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It's already revealed that Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker's cameo was cut from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and now we know that Master Jedi Yoda was also cut from the early draft of the film.

In The Force Awakens, Rey's (Daisy Ridley) Force vision, we can hear the veteran voices of Alec Guiness, Ewan McGregor and Frank Oz --but according to the editors, they thought about taking it a step further by including a Yoda cameo.

"There was one point where we were actually thinking of having Yoda in the film, and then we decided not to," Brandon told ET at the 66th annual ACE Eddie Awards. "Frank Oz came in for a day and did a whole bunch of Yoda and he was over the moon to do it -- and we were tickled pink!"

Sadly, his performance didn't make it to the final version of the film, but I hope they'll include a behind-the-scenes look of Frank Oz being Yoda in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital release that will be available this April.
