Yelena Belova Set for Multiple Episodes in Hawkeye Series

The Black Widow post-credits scene certainly teased Yelena Belova going after Clint Barton, which naturally means she could play a major role in the Hawkeye series. But does this mean she will be the main antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe show? It has been revealed that Yelena is set to appear in multiple episodes of the next Disney+ series this year.

In Black Widow, Yelena visits Natasha Romanoff's grave and is joined by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). It's immediately revealed that the two have been working together for some time as Yelena asks for a raise.

Interestingly, Val then presents Yelena with her next target and adds that Clint is responsible for Nat's death. This pretty much confirms that Yelena will be hunting the Avenger down in the Hawkeye series.

There are speculations that Yelena won't waste time tracking Clint down and they could immediately settle things in just one episode. However, The Cosmic Circus reports that Florence Pugh is expected to appear in several episodes of Hawkeye. With that in mind, we're looking forward to seeing Yelena play a major role in the highly anticipated series.

Hawkeye will bring back Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton. He will be joined by Hailee Steinfeld, who will portray Clint's protege Kate Bishop. The series will also star Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox.

The show has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere on Disney+ later in 2021.
