X-Men: Dark Phoenix Burned to the Ground by Terrible Rotten Tomatoes Score

If the Rotten Tomatoes score is anything to go by, it looks like X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the disaster fans were expecting. While fans were cautiously optimistic about the film's quality, hoping that the movie would surprise them in the end. However, this movie is not a hit with the critics and seems to be doing worse than most of us expected, so if you're looking forward to this movie, keep your expectations low.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a measly 20% from 60 critics. That's really bad and is one of the lowest-rated X-Men movies in the franchise. Critics are also claiming that this is a poor finale to the beloved film series, which has had a number of great installments to the X-Men name.

Fans were already weary when it was revealed that this would be yet another take on The Dark Phoenix Saga. X-Men: The Last Stand was a very poor adaptation of that beloved storyline and it looks like director Simon Kinberg did a worse job for Dark Phoenix, which is a shame since there are a lot of talented actors in this movie.

Let's hope that the MCU works its magic on the X-Men since these characters deserved a much better finale.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out on June 6.
