Naturally, Rogue tries to avenge Magneto but just before she suffers the same fate as her former love interest, Gambit gets her out of harm's way and makes the ultimate sacrifice to destroy the Wild Sentinel, thus resulting in another shocking death.

As for Gambit, showrunner Beau DeMayo confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the fan-favorite mutant has been killed off. However, he didn't explain what led to the surprising decision.
