X-Force Movie Possibly Happening Thanks To Drew Goddard's Disney Deal

People are still hoping for the X-Force movie especially now that Disney has finalized the 20th Century Fox acquisition. Interestingly, the man who could make it happen is Daredevil executive producer Drew Goddard.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goddard has just signed a four-year, eight-figure overall deal with Disney's newly acquired 20th Century Fox TV. Although this could mean that the Bad Times at El Royale director will be working on TV shows, the report is quick to point out that "Goddard will write, create, direct and develop new projects for the studio for all platforms" under the pact. This means Goddard is free to work on movies as well as TV shows for Disney.

This is certainly good news for fans who have been concerned about the future of the X-Force movie. After all, Goddard is still signed on to write and direct the Deadpool spin-off film. There are speculations that X-Force could be the first project that Goddard will work on after signing the deal. However, this has yet to be confirmed so we'll need to wait until we get an official announcement.

So who will appear in the X-Force movie? Fans are already expecting Ryan Reynolds to reprise his role as Wade Wilson in the spin-off film. However, some are also concerned that this could mean Cable will not be part of the X-Force because Josh Brolin is already playing Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, we're crossing our fingers in hopes that we'll see another adventure featuring Deadpool and Cable.
