Wonder Woman’s Success Hasn’t Influenced Diana’s Role In Justice League

Wonder Woman may be drowning in positive reviews and breaking records at global box office however it seems like the film's success hasn't changed the superhero character's role in Justice League in any way. Though Diana Prince's (Gal Gadot) origin movie has been the success that the burgeoning DC Extended Universe has long needed, it seems like Wonder Woman has no influence on the significance of the role the superhero plays in the highly anticipated Justice League.

Speaking with Variety, DC producer and Warner Bros. Entertainment Vice President Jon Berg reveals that the studio hasn't gone off and added a heavier role to Diana after hearing of Wonder Woman's success earlier this month. Of course, Warner Bros. had already assigned a significant role for Wonder Woman in Justice League – after a stellar debut in Batman v Superman, the studio knew they had to have more of Gadot.

"Her role won't change, but she was already playing a big role. People really responded to Gal [Gadot] in ‘Batman v. Superman.' We knew we had something special."

With Justice League in the later final stages of production, it's good to hear that Warner Bros. won't let the overwhelming positive response to Wonder Woman make any sudden changes in the upcoming superhero team-up film. However, while the female-led comicbook movie wasn't able to impact Justice League as much, we're bound to see Wonder Woman influencing other DCEU projects in time.

Wonder Woman is currently screening in cinemas. Meanwhile, Justice League comes together on the big screen on November 17, 2017.
