Wonder Woman Fans Approve Andor Star to Replace Gal Gadot As the Warrior-Hero

With the Paradise Lost prequel series and an untitled animated project both in the works, James Gunn made it apparent that Wonder Woman will remain a significant part of his plans for the DC Universe. However, it has yet to be determined whether Gal Gadot will continue to play the Amazonian princess. Given that nothing is certain in the future of DCU with the studios previously firing Henry Cavill as Superman, fans are already speculating on who could be a potential successor for the role of Diana Prince, and they have one actress in mind.

Adria Arjona is one name that has recently entered the discussion. Arjona is an experienced performer whose career is undoubtedly on the rise right now, thanks to her recent appearance in the critically acclaimed Star Wars program Andor, but she does have a background in the superhero movie genre, but that could change if ever Gunn and his team will tune in to the fans current demand to employ her as the warrior-hero.

Gadot’s performance as Wonder Woman might be hard to amount to and fans have the tendency to cling to the original portrayers of their favorite characters, surprisingly, Redditors are being positive about Arjona hypothetically replacing the Israeli actress in the DCU, with her strong performance as Bix Caleen in Andor being cited as proof that the Morbius star has a lot more to offer the part of the Themysciran princess.

“Hand over your ballot card. Because I want to make sure the vote is cast.” wrote user NidheyShah. Not everyone might agree with this fan cast, but everyone could use some theorizing to further avoid disappointment given that Gadot's Wonder Woman 3 was officially canceled during the new management’s takeover, so no one knows where things might go from here.

Gunn previously stated that casting for projects under his DC slate is not yet underway, notably referencing the new Superman in Superman: Legacy, which means fans should not expect to hear anything about Wonder Woman anytime soon. With Gadot also expected to feature in at least one next DCEU production, official word on her character's continuation will probably have to wait till this is through.
