Wonder Woman 1984 Director Confirms Steve Trevor TV Show Easter Egg

There is little doubt that fans are loving Steve Trevor's return in Wonder Woman 1984. But did you also spot an awesome Easter Egg that referenced the Steve Trevor who appeared in the Wonder Woman TV series? Director Patty Jenkins has confirmed that the scene was absolutely intentional.

WARNING: The following contains Wonder Woman 1984 SPOILERS so proceed with caution.

In Wonder Woman 1984, it was revealed that Steve Trevor would be brought back but he would have to inhabit the body of a different man. Although Diana Prince and the rest of the audience sees Steve as being played by Chris Pine, the man's face was also shown when Steve looks into a mirror.

Interestingly, a fan noticed that Kristoffer Polaha, the actor who played the man whose body Steve inhabited, looks a lot like Lyle Waggoner, who played the character in the Wonder Woman TV show. When they asked Jenkins on Twitter, the filmmaker had an enthusiastic response.

"Thank you so much for noticing @bugslayerken !!! These are the moments I live for. When all the details are finally seen by the fans. So great," Jenkins wrote.

It's great to know that Jenkins took special care in finding a fitting actor to play the man who isn't Steve but still looks like the original Steve. It also makes sense considering that Waggoner's former co-star showed up in the movie.
