The coronavirus pandemic has seen movie and TV productions on pause along with delays on projects that are already set to debut. With Wonder Woman 1984 arriving in theaters in a just a few weeks from now, does Warner Bros. plan to stick to its release date?

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff says the studio is still establishing a good release strategy for their slate of movies, and it looks like a delay for Wonder Woman 1984 isn't off the table. "We are still figuring out the strategy for all of our movies," she said. "We have quite a lot done. Obviously, Wonder Woman 1984 is up next."

"For now, it is where it is," Sarnoff continued. "Like I said earlier, certain movies deserve to be on the big screen. My belief is Wonder Woman is one of those."

Should Wonder Woman 1984 face another delay, this would mark its third time to be pushed back this year alone. With Tenet out in theaters for days now, it looks like the studio is working out the theatrical release for the movies that'll follow it. How Tenet performs could likely affect whether or not Wonder Woman 1984 will keep its October release date.

Fans were given a new look at Wonder Woman 1984 during the recent DC FanDome event, with the trailer revealing Kristen Wiig's Cheetah transformation along with a faceoff between her and Gal Gadot's Diana Prince.

Initially set for release in June 2020, Wonder Woman 1984 is currently set to arrive in theaters on October 2.
