WJSN Bona got more fans after starring in Twenty Five Twenty One.
Before becoming part of Twenty Five Twenty One, Bona already made her acting debut through the KBS2 series, Hit the Top. She then landed the lead role in the drama, Girls Generation 1979.
Following the success of her two flicks, she went on to appear in Radio Romance, Your House Helper, and Homemade Love Story. The latter led her to win the 2020 KBS Drama Awards’ Best New Actress.
Although she already has several titles under her belt, the K-pop idol reportedly got more popular because of Twenty Five Twenty One.

WJSN Bona Talks About Success After Starring in Twenty Five Twenty One
Bona recently appeared in the April 16 episode of The Manager (via Viki), where she shared more details about her appearance in the hit K-drama. She played the role of Olympic fencer Go Yu Rim in Twenty Five Twenty One.
Show’s host Jun Hyun Moo asked her about the notable surge in her popularity after the success of the show, and if there were already instances she felt that she became more famous because of the drama.

“Before, when I went outside wearing a hat and a mask, people didn’t recognize me. But now, [even with a mask on,] people often recognize me right away,” Bona said. “I can also feel the difference when I look at my schedule.”
She also noted how some people do not know she is an idol. For what it’s worth, Bona is part of the South Korean-Chinese girl group, WJSN which debuted in 2016.
WJSN Bona To Star in New Drama?
Elsewhere in the interview, Jun Hyun Moo asked her whether she had received offers for her next project.
Like in the past, she reportedly still gets offers from different projects like how she used to. The only difference is that, she received more this time after the end of Twenty Five Twenty One.
“I’ve received quite a lot. The response [to the drama] was so much better than I’d expected that I’m currently spending my days happily and warmly,” she went on.
She did not detail what those projects are, but Bona indeed made her fans more excited to see her on screen again.
