The tvN drama featured Jung Woo and Squid Game star Lee Yoo Mi. It explores the story of Jegal Gil, a former national taekwondo team athlete who ends up getting banned from the team. He leaves behind his Olympic dreams and grows up to become a mental coach.
He ultimately becomes the mental coach at an athlete’s village where he meets his best friend’s sister, Cha Ga Eul, a short-track speed skater who suffers from a slump.
Although she does not trust him at first, having consultations with him leads her to fall in love with the mental coach despite their age difference.

Mental Coach Jegal Last Episode Recap
In episode 16 of Mental Coach Jegal, Jegal Gil’s former doctor Park Seung Ha confesses her feelings toward him after facing a life-threatening situation because of Assemblyman Park Seung Tae.
He helps the short-track speed skating team to reveal Coach Oh Dal Sung’s crimes while it aims to win the Olympics without him.

His team-up with Cha Moo Tae and Goo Tae Man helps the police to obtain evidence from the Pajin warehouse that reveals Assemblyman Park Seung Tae’s corruption. Despite trying to clear his name from his crimes and blaming Goo Tae Man instead, his daughter, Park Seung Ha, submits the evidence to the prosecution herself.
At the end of the episode, Jegal Gil confesses to Cha Ga Eul and takes the risks with her.
