Orient was originally a manga that was adapted into an anime. The animated version made its release in January 2022. The anime became popular with those who are into shounen anime. As the season is about to end, fans are getting curious whether there will be a season 2 of Orient.
Orient takes place during the Sengoku Jidai or the medieval period. It was a time when different groups are battling in order to control the nation. But in the world of Orient, it was a time when demons rule the land after they brainwashed the citizens.
The series features Musashi, a 15-year-old aspiring samurai. With his friend, Kojiro, the two start on a journey to eliminate demons and bring back the honour of samurai. What can fans expect after season one ends?
Will There Be a Season 2 of Orient?
A.C.G.T has not confirmed if Orient will get a sequel or not. Both the anime and the manga are still ongoing, giving fans hope that a season two is possible. The studio did not confirm what arcs they would cover for the first season.
There are a total of 14 volumes in the manga that can be adapted, and the first season of Orient was confirmed to have 12 episodes. Ideally, this will give fans an impression that there is a lot of content to cover.
Usually, anime covers 2 to 3 arcs. If Orient has a total of 4 arcs as of this writing, the studio can focus on the first two arcs in the first season and the remaining 2 will be done for the sequel.
Orient is getting good feedback from anime fans which could be considered another good sign for season two. But then again, the decision is up to A.C.G.T. Fans just have their own theories about the future of the series.
On their journey, Musashi starts to learn more about his special power. He has to face this along with his childhood trauma to become the samurai that he always wanted. If he succeeds or not, fans will have to watch Orient to find out.
