Love of Kill, also known as Koroshi Ai is a great anime for those who crave the "enemies to lovers" trope no matter how many times it's done. Does the josei anime do it well? Opinions might vary on that, but the show has nevertheless proved capable of sustaining the mysteries entwining the main characters' lives, so it gets points for that, and some viewers might miss it at the end of the anime season. So, will there be a season 2 of Love of Kill, and when would it come out?

Based on an ongoing manga, Love of Kill follows a man and a woman who kill for a living; Chateau Dankworth, a bounty hunter, and Song Ryang-ha, whom she's tasked with killing. Ryang-ha, too, is after Chateau, but not in the way one might expect for a criminal like himself. His target seems to be Chateau's heart, he doesn't plan on stabbing her any time soon, however. Instead, he showers her with gifts in the form of the people she's tasked with finding and eliminating.

Chateau refuses his advances but finds herself entangled with him, while later developments reveal that Ryang-ha's interest might not even be purely romantic, after all. Even so, the characters' chemistry could be much better, and would hopefully improve in any future content.

At the time of writing, studio Platinum Vision, which produces the series, has not confirmed a season 2 of Love of Kill. It's a bit early to tell for sure, as most shows are renewed shortly after their finale at the earliest. Love of Kill isn't the season's most popular anime so it might not be prioritized, but stranger things have happened, fans of the anime can still hope.

The manga the show is based on currently counts eleven chapters, suggesting just about enough material for more content, though, ideally, those who work on the anime might prefer to have a little more than that to work on - especially given the show's pacing issues so far.

If Love of Kill becomes renewed in the near future, we'll update this space with all relevant information. Meanwhile, the English dub for Love of Kill is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
