Would you believe that it'll be two decades since School of Rock first came out? In line with this milestone, Jack Black revealed that he is gathering the cast for a reunion. Since the anniversary will be in October, it's possible that we could see the reunion around that date too.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Black said:

“All those kids — dig this — they were 10 years old when we made that movie and now they’re all, like, 30. We’re gonna get together and have a 20-year anniversary. We like to jam. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the grownups from ‘School of Rock.'”

Yes, we feel old too.

Although nothing has been officially announced, Black teased in the interview that a School of Rock sequel may happen.

In another interview with SiriusXM, the 53-year-old actor was asked if he would be interested in doing a sequel to either School of Rock or Tenacious D in the Pick Of Destiny. He answered:

“Yup. Both of them. Breaking news. We’re thinking about doing both of those.”

Hopefully, Black makes an announcement at the reunion. The actor promised he will "100 percent" be using social media to share photos and videos from the planned reunion.

Even though the cast members of School of Rock have reunited over the years, it looks like the actor has something big in store. Back in 2013, the cast members got together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the film. They performed their cover of Rock Got No Reason at the Gibson Austin Showroom, which is one of the songs included in the movie.

School of Rock is one film that Black truly enjoys. Apart from the experience, he loves to get together with the cast and jam to the songs they did in the movie.

But when asked which film he is proudest of, Black told Entertainment Tonight:

"My best memories are just that group of kids, and how funny and great they were. It’s definitely the highlight of my career, I can say that. Honestly."
“In a weird way, it might be ‘Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny,’ because that’s the only movie that I wrote. So, that one is actually my real baby. Maybe it’s not the best, but it is my proudest.”

We'll update this post once a School of Rock sequel announcement has been made.
