The Skywalker Saga is coming to an end with the release of The Rise of Skywalker. However, Star Wars fans never really got to learn more about Snoke in the sequel trilogy. Despite being seen as much more powerful than Emperor Palpatine, he was surprisingly killed in The Last Jedi. But will fans get to know more about Snoke in The Rise of Skywalker?

J.J. Abrams recently spoke with Uproxx regarding his plans for Episode IX and bringing back Palpatine. The director was also asked about whether or not Star Wars fans will get any answers with regards to Snoke's identity. Abrams seems hesitant to give an answer, but he clarifies his intentions for the upcoming film.

"I will say, without giving anything away," he started. "Knowing this movie is an ending is, for me, infinitely more challenging that a beginning." The director claimed that the studio knew they had to provide answers. And that even though some parts of the franchise aren't completely "demystified," Abrams wanted to make sure that the audience leaves feeling "satisfied."

The director hopes that people will feel like The Rise of Skywalker is a "true ending" and isn't seen as somewhat of an "advertising ploy." "We really are bringing it to an end," he pointed out.

Based on his answer, it clearly doesn't give anything away with regards to the movie tackling a bit of Snoke's story. However, Abrams has given the fans something to look forward to in the film. The way I see it, it seems like Abrams wouldn't touch upon Snoke's origin, but he will try his best to tie in all the nine movies together.
