Will Star Wars: Episode IX Give Back Kylo Ren's Helmet?

Fans may have had mixed opinions on Star Wars: The Last Jedi but it did make Kylo Ren more interesting than he already was and many consider the character to be one of the highlights in The Force Awakens. His upcoming character arc in Star Wars: Episode IX is shrouded in mystery, with many fans wondering if he will fully embrace the Dark Side and perish with it, or succumb to the light and make his parents proud.

Well, it looks like he's still struggling with his identity as a rumor from Making Star Wars has stated that Kylo Ren will bring back the helmet he destroyed in The Last Jedi. Everyone was shocked to see the helmet go since it was a semi-iconic part of the character and made for a lot of Halloween costumes. Seeing it come back is an interesting move and could add further conflict for the character.

Apparently, the mask is a reconstructed version of the one that broke during The Last Jedi. It will reportedly have a "crystalline bonding material," which, given how The First Order is, will probably be red. This gives the character a very "corrupted" look, apparently, which should be a nice wrinkle to the character's continued downward spiral to the darkness.

Unfortunately, there are no "leaked" pictures of this new helmet, though here is hoping that we get a sneak peek of it during the first trailer for Star Wars Episode IX. Whenever that comes out. Disney won't release the film until December 2020, so we're in for a long wait when it comes to this movie's trailer.
