Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been eager to see the big-screen arrival of iconic character Adam Warlock ever since that massive post-credits tease in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. We've long confirmed that the powerful entity will in fact debut in the upcoming installment of the franchise and will be played by Will Poulter.

Poulter's casting earned mixed reactions from the fandom but the actor himself assured everyone that he's putting on the work to give the character justice. Now, we still don't know much about Warlock's involvement in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and whether or not he'll play a hero or a villain but according to an interesting new rumor, the beloved character will be getting a major redesign in the MCU.

Brazilian outlet Chippu reported that Poulter's character will look significantly different from his comic book counterpart. According to their scoop, Adam will sport an almost entirely gold costume and will also retain his trademark gold skin and hair.

The report also claims that Warlock will be ditching his cape as well as the soul gem on his forehead. The reason behind it is that the Infinity stones have been reduced to atoms in the current MCU continuity.

Well, let's be real here. Since the inception of the MCU in 2008, Marvel Studios has been known for tweaking the designs for its characters so I don't really see it being that big of an issue. I mean, as long as he still resembles Adam Warlock then I'm totally fine with it. What's more important to me is Will's actual performance which I'm sure will blow fans away.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently scheduled to hit cinemas on May 5, 2023.
