Come 2013, he did We’re the Millers, earning him mainstream recognition. Over the years, his next projects poured, like Plastic, The Maze Runner, Glassland, The Revenant, Detroit, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, The Little Stranger, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Midsommar and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.
In 2021, he was announced as part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Will Poulter admitted playing Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a big challenge.
In an interview with The Independent, he revealed he started by getting into shape for his role.
“I wouldn’t recommend anyone do what I did to get ready for that job,” he said.
Aside from being a gym rat today, he also follows what he calls “a very, very specific diet.” He described his diet as including “quantities of food you wouldn’t necessarily want to ingest. And other times not enough food.”

However, outside the preparations, the 29-year-old actor can’t say much about his character.
“It’s difficult talking about it because with Marvel it’s all secret squirrel…but the most important thing is that your mental and physical health has to be number one,” he explained.
The physical goal only comes secondary for the British star. If not, he stressed, “you end up promoting something that is unhealthy and unrealistic if you don’t have the financial backing of a studio paying for your meals and training.”

However, the character started to come to his own after being handled by the writer Jim Starlin, who named Adam Warlock and made him a galactic messiah who wandered around space to look for inner peace.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be out in 2023.
