We first met Noob Noob in Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 4 "Vindicators 3: Return of World Ender". It is here that we find that Rick and Morty have been called on for the second time on the third mission and find out they were never asked the second time that the team had assembled. The Vindicators are a team of heroes that Morty holds in high regard which only makes Rick more eager to shut down Morty's fascination with heroes, pointing out their flaws, and later in the episode, drunkenly becoming the Vindicators most powerful enemy yet.

It is during the initial briefing session that we meet Noob Noob. Often mistaken for Mr. Poopeybutthole and also Stealy from interdimensional cable, all 3 are small humanoid creatures with high-pitched voices however Stealy has much longer arms, Mr. Poopeybutthole has a longer nose, and Noob Noob has one eye much lower down on his face than the other. His face is covered in a superhero mask that was distinctly made for his peculiar eye placements.

During the initial briefing of The Vindicators, Rick continues to mock The Vindicators as individuals and as a concept. The only "person" that recognizes this and finds it slightly entertaining is Noob Noob, who is doing some background cleaning. Rick's jabs continue and Noob Noob continues to find this amusing, which Rick recognizes. Noob Noob continues to clean while preparing for his first day as a fully-fledged Vindicator.

Unfortunately, his chances of becoming a fully-fledged Vindicator are ruined the next day when the team discovers that Rick became blackout drunk that night. He is found face down on the Vindicators table bottomless having soiled himself (and the rest of the Vindicators table). Due to the extreme amount of mess made by Rick, Noob Noob must sit out on the mission and continue on as the cleaner.

During the mission, we find that Rick had defeated world ender and his army while he was blackout drunk and has created obstacles in the form of a game just like in the movie, Saw. The Vindicators must win the game in order to get through the obstacles and onto their next escape. During the last obstacle/round of the game, blackout drunk Rick on the TV screen tells the Vindicators to sacrifice what matters most and place it on a platform that is most likely a booby-trap.

Sober-ish Rick, who has no memory of this, believes that the answer could be Morty. As Morty stands on the platform he is taken down underneath the floor in a private room and greeted by a drunken but very heartfelt message from Rick. The relationship between Rick and Morty is a truly love-hate relationship without it ever being said, we believe that deep down Rick cares about Morty although he never admits it. However, there is a twist, we realize that the heartfelt message was actually for Noob Noob, and not for Morty. Due to Morty being the same relative height and weight as Noob Noob, the team passes the obstacle, and Rick and Morty escape.

They discover upon their escape that blackout drunk Rick also planned a concert and invited the rapper "Logic" who ends up singing about Noob Noob.

Despite only appearing in one episode, there's clearly a hilarious tie that Rick has to Noob Noob, and even though he only plays a tiny role within the episode, there are so many references to him that he has become a mini legend among Rick and Morty fans. So why is it people think he could be dying in Season 5?

Within the new Season 5 Rick and Morty Intro, we see a quick flash scene of Noob Noob on the floor while Rick lies over him panicking and trying to resuscitate him. Could this be the end of the character? The issue with Rick and Morty's intro scenes is that some of them do appear as scenes in future Rick and Morty episodes while some are hypothetical adventures that Rick and Morty have been on together. We see another random scene where Morty is playing golf and applauded by an audience which is both so normal and therefore so out of character for a Rick and Morty show.

Hopefully, this won't be the end of the Vindicator in training but we're sure to find out soon!
