The first episode of Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf made waves online for different reasons, one of which was the presence of a young girl who resembled Myuri in the opening scene.
Many fans believe Myuri and the young girl are the same person since the female character who was with her, telling her the story of the wolf, resembles Holo. After all, they have similar hairstyles and colors.
In addition, the scene appears to show a mother telling her daughter a local tale about a wolf who protects a village harvest in a location much further south, which is similar to Holo's story in the series.
While the anime did not reveal the characters' faces, the silhouettes seem to suggest they are Myuri and Holo.
