Will Moon Knight's Ethan Hawke Star in Marvel's Werewolf By Night Series?

We already know that Ethan Hawke is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the mysterious lead villain in the Disney+ series Moon Knight. But is it possible that Hawke's mystery role has finally been revealed? There are speculations that the Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets star will headline a new Marvel show about Werewolf by Night.

Back in January, it was confirmed that Hawke will be joining Oscar Isaac in Moon Knight. However, his character is still undisclosed. Since then, there have been several speculations about who Hawke will play in the upcoming MCU series.

But is it possible that we just got a major hint about Hawke's role? The Cosmic Circus reports that Marvel is planning a Disney+ series for Moon Knight villain Werewolf By Night. The show will reportedly be filmed under the working title Buzz Cut and production is expected to start in February next year.

So will the Werewolf by Night series be headlined by Hawke? Although his role in Moon Knight has not yet been revealed, there is a huge possibility that Hawke will be playing Jack Russell. After all, the comic book villain has important connections to Marc Spector.

Marvel has had a trend going where a character would be introduced in a show before getting their own spin-off project. For instance, Sam Wilson debuted as Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and was promptly confirmed to appear in Captain America 4. The upcoming Hawkeye series will introduce comic book heroine Maya Lopez before she goes on to star in her own Echo series.

So could this happen again with Moon Knight? We'd love to see Hawke as Werewolf by Night but it's important to point out that his role has not yet been confirmed. With that in mind, best to take this with a grain of salt.

Moon Knight is currently in production and has not yet been given an official release date.
