Moon Knight: Which Villain is Ethan Hawke Playing in MCU Series?

In case you missed it, Moon Knight has just cast The Magnificent Seven star Ethan Hawke as the main villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. But which comic book baddie is the Sinister actor playing in the Disney+ show? We've listed down all the awesome characters Hawke could portray in the Oscar Isaac series.

Is Ethan Hawke Playing Bushman in Moon Knight?

The first and most likely candidate is the villain who started it all for Marc Spector. Roald Bushman is Moon Knight's oldest nemesis and is somehow responsible for Marc gaining his powers in the first place.

Bushman would be an exciting choice for Moon Knight considering that he is a major part of Marc's past. However, some believe that Bushman could only play a minor role and that Hawke is being cast for a bigger and more political role.

Carson Knowles would be a great character for Hawke. The former soldier is actually a lot like Marc himself but more sinister. Carson took on the identity of Black Spectre to blackmail people into supporting him as he ran for mayor.

Black Spectre is my personal choice when it comes to casting Hawke in Moon Knight. However, there are other more likely candidates like the next one who might serve as a connection to another MCU series.

Will Crossfire Show Up in Moon Knight?

This might seem like a stretch but there are speculations that Hawke has been cast as William Cross aka Crossfire. The character had worked with Marc in the CIA and could lead to a crossover with Hawkeye.

Crossfire is actually more of a Hawkeye villain and is more likely to show up in the Jeremy Renner series. So could Hawke actually portray someone who will connect Moon Knight to a certain vampire hunter?

Although Bushman is Marc's first enemy, Werewolf By Night is the character who gave Moon Knight his comic book debut. Interestingly, Moon Knight actually started out as the baddie in the comics.

There's a good reason why people are hoping that Werewolf By Night will appear in the MCU. After all, he is the one connection between Moon Knight and Blade, having joined the two in Midnight Sons. Technically, he isn't a villain but it would be great to see Hawkeye playing a werewolf.
