The finale of one of the most highly sought-after series, Gintama: The Very Final, has already been released on DVD and Blu-ray. But will Gintama: The Very Final be on Crunchyroll? When will it be released on the streaming platform?

Gintama: The Very Final centers on the members of Odd Jobs as they come together to save the world from an otherworldy menace.

When old friends Gintoki, Takasugi, and Katsura come together to share their own ideals, a man named Utsuro stands against them.

As Shinpachi, Kagura, and the Shinsengumi join the fight, it is up to Gintoki to put an end to Utsuro’s devious plans.

Will Gintama: The Very Final Be on Crunchyroll?

While not officially confirmed, Gintama: The Very Final is very likely to be released on Crunchyroll in the future.

Given that all previous seasons of Gintama are currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll, it is not surprising that Gintama: The Very Final will be added to its library at a later date.

All seasons of Gintama are available in both English sub and dub, so subscribers can choose their poison.

However, as of writing, Crunchyroll has not yet picked up the previous Gintama films. The reason for this is unknown, which is extremely unfortunate.

If Crunchyroll is able to acquire the distribution rights for the previous Gintama films, it will only be a matter of time before Gintama: The Very Final is released on the streaming platform as well.

Gintama: The Very Final Crunchyroll Release Date

As of writing, Gintama: The Very Final will not be available on Crunchyroll anytime soon.

So far, we know that the final film's Blu-ray disc and DVD releases are already available on the market. It was organized by Eleven Arts, a film producer and distributor, and Shout! Factory, a home video and music company.

Gintama: The Very Final was released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 8, 2022. Since then, there has been no word on whether the film will be available on streaming services such as Crunchyroll or HIDIVE.

On the other hand, a fan-created petition has been submitted on Change.org in order for Crunchyroll to carry Gintama: The Very Final.

The petition encourages all Gintama fans to legally support the film by requesting that Crunchyroll distribute the movie. As of writing, only 443 people have signed the petition.

When an anime film is released on DVD and Blu-ray, it is usually only a matter of time before streaming platforms add it to their library.

For the time being, Gintama: The Very Final fans will have to wait for more information.
