Those who have watched Naruto are curious about Naruto’s son. Fans of the hit show were quick to notice the resemblance of the two and without a doubt, anyone can easily say that they are related. Both have spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, and iconic whisker markings.
Aside from their appearances, both have similar personalities. The two are stubborn, energetic, and loud. Boruto even has a verbal tic like Naruto’s. Instead of “dattebayo”, Boruto uses “dattebasa”. With this, fans have been wondering if Boruto will inherit his father’s abilities like the Sage Mode or be a Jinchuriki. Or will he possess the Byakugan like his mother? Let’s find out!
Will Boruto Have Byakugan or Jougan?
Rumors were going around that Masashi Kishimoto planned to give Boruto the ability to have Byakugan but he just forgot. While there isn’t an article or an interview to prove this fact, what we do know is that as far as the story progressed, Boruto has not awakened his Byakugan, if he will have any. His sister was able to awaken hers sometime in the series.
What Boruto seemed to have is the Jougan. It appeared on his left eye that kind of looks like a Byakugan but it’s not. The Jougan can sense and see chakra, and some fans believe that it is actually a combined ability of the Byakugan and Sharingan.
Will Boruto Have Kurama or The Nine Tails?
The chance of this happening is very slim especially since Kurama “died” in the manga. A lot of fans assumed that since Boruto has the same iconic whiskers as his dad, it would mean that he will have Kurama too but it appeared that the whiskers are not the sign. What is most likely to happen, based on what the manga revealed, is that Momoshiki will take over Boruto’s body.
Instead of having a mythical beast, it seems like Naruto’s son will have a celestial being inside of him. This will only happen once the Karma seal finishes “downloading” Momoshiki’s essence into Boruto’s body.
Will Boruto Have Sage Mode?
As of this writing, there are no signs of Boruto learning how to do Sage mode but fans are pretty confident that he can pull it off considering his skills and abilities. We shouldn’t forget the fact that Boruto is Naruto’s son, and he was able to do Rasengan and Shadow-Clone Jutsu like his father.
