After BoJack Horseman, Will Arnet is set to star in Paramount Pictures' upcoming animated movie, Rumble. A new trailer has been dropped, and it teases a Kaiju-filled pro wrestling movie.
Here's the official description:
In a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes, teenage Winnie seeks to follow in her father's footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.
The monster designs are actually pretty cool, and I love how they managed to make a shark monster have tentacle arms that look like muscles. The lead monster voiced by Arnett also feels like he's a knock-off of Pixar's Sully from Monsters Inc., only he's red and has bigger horns.
Besides Arnett, the movie also has Geraldine Viswanathan included in the cast, and I'm assuming she's playing the lead girl coach. Terry Crews is likely the voice of Tentacular. Plus, Sonic the Hedgehog star Ben Schwartz is also included in the cast list; though it's possible he could be voicing another monster, I'm wondering if he would make a cameo as Sonic; I mean, Paramount also distributed that movie.
The film looks like a good bit of fun, and I'm wondering how it would fare compared to the likes of Pixar or Illumination. Hopefully, there's a lot to love about Rumble when it comes out next year.
For now, Rumble is set to hit theaters Jan. 29, 2021.
