Ahsoka still has the potential to deliver one of the longest dreams fans have been wanting to see in the series. With season 2 fast approaching, fans are led to question whether this will be the season they get to see the Mortis Gods, specifically, the "Mother" entity Abeloth, on the small screens. Well, here's what the latest rumor says about Dave Filoni's supposed plans for the franchise.
Could Abeloth Finally Appear in Ahsoka Season 2?

Fans were first introduced to The Ones, who were later known as the Mortis Gods, in The Clone Wars. Mortis Gods are ancient beings who were theorized to have existed beyond the Force. The Father represents the balance between the Light (The Daughter) and the Dark (The Son).
His children drew power from the Font of Power and Pool of Knowledge, which granted them God-like powers. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano first encountered them in The Clone Wars, where they learned that The Father hoped to have Anakin take his place.
Instead, the Son killed the Daughter, and the Father took his own life to keep his son from gaining immortality (this allowed Anakin to kill him).
In the Expanded Universe, Abeloth was a servant to The Ones who eventually took the matriarchal role in the family. Despite her initial good nature to keep the children safe, she fell into temptation and sought her own quest for immortality. This led her to become a wildly powerful and transformed monstrous, nearly unstoppable Dark being.
The Ones managed to imprison her, which many fans guessed means locking her somewhere on Peridea, where Ahsoka and Sabine had been found stranded.
X's @moraimessenger, who has proven to be a reliable source for Ahsoka season 2 leaks, recently reported that Abeloth will not be in the series in season 2:
"The story I've put together from set photos, scene descriptions, and from what we've officially been told is one of myth [and] religion," the insider said, "Not some cosmic entity that overcomplicates the story. In fact, I struggle to see anywhere where this character would fit into what I know about the story."
What Fans Can Expect from Ahsoka Season 2

It would seem that even if Dave Filoni is expanding the Star Wars universe, the Mortis Gods won't be appearing anytime soon. At least until perhaps Ahsoka Tano defeats the Grand Admiral Thrawn in the coming season.
In Ahsoka season 2, Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren are found stranded on Peridea, the mystical realm of the Mortis Gods, as they face Baylan Skoll's mysterious agenda. As for the Grand Admiral Thrawn, he intends to overthrow the galaxy by waging war against the New Republic.
Rory McCann (Game of Thrones) officially steps into the late Ray Stevenson's boots as the new Baylan Skoll (confirmed at Star Wars Celebration Japan last year). His arc involves following the statues seen in the season 1 finale. Prison break or a source of power? We'll have to wait and see once Ahsoka season 2 rolls out.
Hayden Christensen is also confirmed to return and reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, continuing his role to guide Ahsoka through the Peridea himself. Lars Mikkelsen returns as Thrawn in season 2, along with Eman Esfandi as Ezra, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera.
In the meantime, fans can await Ahsoka season 2 on Disney+ sometime during Fall 2026.
