Why You Shouldn't Delete Your Pokemon Let's Go! Save Data if You Bought Pokeball Plus

Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee are, unsurprisingly, bonafide hits, currently selling like hotcakes in Japan. Nintendo knew that this game would do well, not only being the first console Pokemon game but also pandering to nostalgia by going back to the Kanto region. Game Freak also tempted fans to pick up the Pokeball Plus controller that recreates the feeling of being an actual Pokemon Trainer and gives players Mew.

However, if you've already put your code for the 151st Pokemon and are considering deleting your save, DON'T DO IT. If you delete your save, Mew is gone as well and there is no other way to get this legendary back. The only way to get Mew again is to, and I'm not kidding here, buy another Pokeball Plus.

Nintendo Soup confirmed this by reporting about a user who wasn't pleased with the stats of Mew and deleted the save, hoping for another chance at the legendary. That did not happen and this fan can no longer have Mew unless Nintendo plans on making this Pokemon a very special Mystery Gift.

Fans can read an official statement from Nintendo here, as the company outright state that Mew will get deleted if you use your code and remove your save data. Simply put, this will be your only chance to have Mew so choose which version of the game you want carefully and be a great trainer.

Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee are available now on Nintendo Switch.
