The Why Does Nobody Remember Me anime’s release date has finally been announced recently alongside the release of the show’s new trailer.

This new trailer puts the spotlight on Rinne, one of the anime’s main characters who is voiced by a popular VA whom many anime fans should be familiar with.

As the show’s premiere is just a bit over a month away, we should also get an announcement for its streaming platform partner soon.

Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? Release Date

Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? is the latest anime from Project No.9, the studio behind shows such as My Tiny Senpai, A Girl & Her Guard Dog, and The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten.

Unlike most of the studio’s recent works, this series is a fantasy anime. While its title might make it seem like an isekai, this show is more of a fantasy and sci-fi hybrid.

The anime was announced back in July 2023, and it was a bit of a surprise given that the light novel it’s based on already ended in August 2020. Of course, there’s still the ongoing manga adaptation.

Since the anime’s announcement, more details have been revealed, but now, the show’s July 13 release date has been confirmed.

In Japan, the anime will be broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, and Kansai TV.

International Streaming Platform Predictions

The show’s release date was revealed alongside the character trailer for Rinne who is voiced by Kana Ichinose. She is best known as the voice actress of Fern in Frieren and Suletta Mercury in Gundam: Witch from Mercury.

While the show’s cast and Japanese broadcast platforms were revealed, there’s no word yet on which streaming platform the show will be on outside of Japan.

Crunchyroll will likely pick up the series, as Why Does Nobody Remember Me was created by Kei Sazane, the author of Gods’ Games We Play and Our Last Crusade, which got anime adaptations streamed on Crunchyroll.

Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? Fuses Sci-Fi and Fantasy

This new anime is set on Earth, though it’s controlled by dragons and demons. Before, five races fought for control over Earth, with humanity emerging victorious thanks to the hero Sid.

For some reason, history is overwritten so that Sid never existed, resulting in humanity getting subjugated.

While humanity has forgotten what originally happened, a boy named Kai is seemingly the only one unaffected by the world being overwritten. As such, he sets out to become humanity’s next hero.
