Maki Zenin came from the Big Three Sorcerer Families. Her skills were top-notch and made her the best when it comes to using cursed weapons. But she only has one flaw: she can’t see curses. Why can’t Maki see curses? Did something happen to her before?

Why Can't Maki See Curses in Jujutsu Kaisen?
It was revealed that Maki has very low levels of cursed energy, preventing her to see curses. The only way she can see those is through her glasses which are imbued with cursed energy.
Despite that flaw, Maki was gifted with extraordinary physical capabilities. Her abilities are peak human combat prowess which saves her during missions.
Her talent is equal to sorcerers who have trained for years. Not only was she known for her physical strength but her speed was unlike any other. As she continued to be a student at Jujutsu High, Maki’s abilities continued to improve.
Since Maki cannot manipulate and control cursed energy, she uses cursed tools to exorcise curses. Her first signature weapon was the red naginata, which is a cursed tool that can exorcise spirits. However, this was broken after her encounter with Geto.
She then started experimenting on other cursed tools like a katana and sword. She also uses Playful Cloud, a special grade cursed tool from Geto. The three-section staff contains pure power from the user’s strength.
Another iconic weapon was Dragon Bone, which is a masterpiece of Juzo Kumiya. It allows her to accumulate cursed energy and force at will. Of course, let us not forget the blade Maki received from Mai, a large broadsword with fur.
Maki might not be able to see curses but with her glasses and tools, she can easily finish her missions without a sweat.
