The Rise and Fall of Karasuno High School in Haikyuu
At this point, we’ve seen the rise and fall of the Karasuno High School volleyball team in Haikyuu.
We witnessed how Shoyo Hinata and Kageyama Tobio played their hardest to remain on the court and win their matches with the support of their strong-willed senpais, team managers, coach, and adviser.
Karasuno was once a powerhouse team during the Little Giant’s run. They were the school to watch out for, which made a huge impact on Hinata’s life.
Ever since Hinata knew about the Little Giant, he aspired to follow in his footsteps and play on the same court.
Kageyama, on the other hand, had a very traumatic experience with his team members.
He was known as the King of the Court, not because of his abilities but because of his rude behavior. This affected Kageyama, whom Shiratorizawa Academy rejected.
As it turns out, Hinata and Kageyama’s fates are intertwined, as are the fates of the rest of the members of the Karasuno volleyball team.
Together, they all worked hard to win their matches one after the other, even after losing to Aoba Johsai.
They managed to recover with renewed hope to reach the Spring Nationals despite facing the formidable Wakatoshi and the Shiratorizawa Academy.
No one thought Karasuno would win, but in the end, they pulled it off.
Now, Karasuno resumes their journey in the Spring Nationals, armed with the results of their training and hard work.
So, Who Won the Nationals in Haikyuu? Does Karasuno High Win?
In a sports anime such as Haikyuu, viewers expect Karasuno to win the Nationals since they are the main team of the series.
However, Karasuno didn’t win the Nationals in the end. Their collective strength was impressive, but it wasn't enough to bring home the championship.
Yes, they have come so far in the tournament after defeating Inarizaki High and the Miya Brothers, not to mention their rival team Nekoma, but they eventually lost against Kamomedai High in the quarterfinals.
It’s also unfortunate that Bokuto and Fukurodani Academy didn’t bag the national trophy. They lost to Ichibayashi High, a team we haven’t heard a lot about in the series.
In the end, Ichibayashi wins the spring national tournament in Haikyuu.
