Did Netflix’s Unlocked Series Actually Happen or is it Fake?
Unlocked: A Jail Experiment is a Netflix reality TV show that asks: what will happen to a jail when its facilities are unlocked and inmates are allowed to roam free.
This is exactly what happened in the series. The show is set in Pulaski County Jail in Little Rock, Arkansas.
There, Sheriff Eric Higgins held an experiment where inmates were allowed to roam free inside a special facility. This is in sharp contrast to a typical jail where inmates cannot move freely except in designated zones.
The experiment was made to see if a jail can still have order without constant supervision from wardens, and if inmates can become stewards of the place.
As a reality series, there are likely some parts of it that are played up for the camera, but for the most part, this experiment actually happened.

Who is Randy From Unlocked: A Jail Experiment?
In the freedom of the experiment, Randy Randall (aka True Story) was one of the inmates who took a more active leadership role. Randy was detained after being charged with domestic assault and drug possession.
As an inmate in his mid-forties who had been incarcerated before, Randy often acted as the leader or mentor in many situations.
Of course, some of the other detainees did not welcome his outspoken nature at first, but soon, more and more inmates became appreciative of his role as a mentor in the latest Netflix reality show.

Where is Randy Now After Unlocked?
After the end of the show, Randy is still in jail, though he continues the leadership and mentor role that he has gained during the series.
