The Bad Batch Season 3 Finale Shuts Down Project Necromancer

The bad batchers have spent the entire series building up to the season 3 finale on saving their friend, Omega, from the clutches of the Empire and Project Necromancer's devious plan.

Clone Force 99 managed to succeed in doing just that. Despite Tech's tragic death, Omega, Echo, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Hunter escaped to Tantiss after fighting their battles against Hemlock's forces.

With Clone Force 99 out of the way, this leaves Hemlock's project at a halt, which forces Governor Tarkin to make the final decision in hopes of rebuilding the Empire, even though he isn't fully aware of what the plan exactly was.

Who Ended Emperor Palpatine's Project Necromancer?

Governor Tarkin made the decision to put a stop to Hemlock's work, considering that no progress had been made, even in the duration that they had kept Omega right under their noses.

So, as much as Emperor Palpatine seeks to perfect his immortal clone, this would have to wait. Tarkin pulled all the funding for Project Necromancer and Hemlock's experiment to redirect it towards Project Stardust, aka the production of the Death Star.

Thanks to Tarkin's disruption to the plan, he unknowingly delays the resurrection of Emperor Palpatine. That is until Tarkin met his demise, kickstarting the project back on track enough to revive Palpatine.

For now, all's well that ends well for the bad batchers as the members settle on the peaceful planet, Pabu, leaving fans with a hopeful ending by showing a fully grown Omega ready to take her bigger role in the Star Wars universe.
