Who is Shinpei Ajiro in Summer Time Rendering?
Shinpei Ajiro is the main character of Summer Time Rendering.
He is an orphaned young boy who was taken in by Alan Kofune after his parents died. Shinpei, like Mio and Ushio, grows up to be the sisters' loving and adoring childhood friend. He leaves Hitogashima island to study culinary arts in the city.
In the anime, Shinpei receives word that Ushio drowned. He decides to return to the island for Ushio's funeral on July 22nd. Along the way, strange things have been happening in Shinpei's dreams as well as in real life.
Ushio's younger sister, Mio, greeted him upon his arrival on Hitogashima Island. She told Shinpei everything that happened after he went to the city. Shinpei runs into his friend Sou at the funeral, who reveals that Ushio died from strangulation rather than drowning.
This is the beginning of Shinpei's suspicions about the island. He also happens to meet a girl who resembles Mio. It was apparently her doppelganger.
Shinpei, who is perplexed by the events on the island, is brutally murdered in the anime's first episode. He discovered the truth about the Shadow Sickness and most likely who murdered Ushio.
He also noticed that the color of his other eye had changed. After being killed on the island, it was later revealed that he possessed the ability to reset time. This is due to the fact that he possesses the eye that was lost by an otherworldly being known as Mother.
