I'm Quitting Heroing started off a bit quietly, but the fantasy anime is gaining momentum and those who haven't engaged with the light novel or manga yet might have questions. For example, who does Leo end up with in I'm Quitting Heroing?

I'm Quitting Heroing is based on a light novel series written by Quantum and illustrated by Hana Amano.

In its medievalist and simultaneously futuristic world, hero Leo Demonheart has defeated the Demon Queen Echidna, who now resides in Demon World - a polluted wasteland.

But Leo cannot enjoy his victory fully, as people are now fearful of his power and believe that he'll become the next Demon King.

An ostracized Leo approaches Echidna and offers to help her rebuild her army. While the Queen outright declines, her four generals are less proud, and they decide to cooperate with Leo behind her back.

Posing as a masked knight named Onyx. Leo begins to solve the Demon Army's many challenges, gradually improving life for Echidna's forces. But why did she ever start a war to begin with? Leo hopes to find out the answer!

So far, Leo hasn't ended up with anyone in I'm Quitting Heroing, though, of course, this could change in future episodes or installments.

Unsurprisingly for a shonen protagonist, Leo seems to have a type, as he keeps flirting with Shutina, a powerful succubus, often embarrassing her with his teasing. For the time being a relationship between the two is not confirmed.

Some fans would, of course, love to see Leo with Echidna, as the enemies to lovers trope never gets old. At the beginning of the anime and light novel, Echidna hates Leo for defeating her, but it wouldn't even be a spoiler to say that the two will come to appreciate each other a bit more later on.

Lily is another character Leo grows close with, though their relationship dynamic borders on being problematic. Lily has a crush on Leo and even claims she wants to marry him due to her people's traditions.

While he clearly doesn't reciprocate, he doesn't rebuff Lily's advances very strongly, which makes their dynamic uncomfortable, especially when he takes advantage of her feelings for him in order to teach her how to be more proactive.

Mentoring a character who is - or at least seems to be - quite younger is not a problem in itself as the two could have had a nice sibling dynamic, but while Leo only sees Lily as a friend, it just feels wrong that he would pretend to be hurt to motivate her to action.

Given how this type of story often goes, we would expect him to end up with Echidna, though nothing is confirmed yet.
