In I'm Quitting Heroing or Yuusha, Yamemasu, this is the problem of Leo Demonheart. He singlehandedly saved humanity from the invasion of the Demon Queen's army and their leader, Echidna.
However, his own kind felt threatened by his strength; and the king decided to banish him.
With nowhere to go, Leo decides to turn to his former enemies and applies for a job in the Demon Queen's army, the very group he destroyed.
He offers himself to the Elite Four Generals as someone who will help rebuild the military. The Elite Four Generals accept, but Leo has to use a disguise to hide his true identity from Echidna and the others.
Is I'm Quitting Heroing Based on a Manga or Light Novel?
I'm Quitting Heroing is based on a fantasy light novel series written by Quantum with illustrations by Amano Hana.
It was first serialized online in January 2017 under Kakuyomu before getting three volumes published under Fujimi Shobo later that year. Kadokawa handled the English release of the series.
There is also a seinen manga adaptation with illustration by Kazato Nori, under Kadokawa Shoten. Its serialization began in 2018, and as of writing, there are six volumes so far.
