The White Lotus Season 3 Release Date: When Will the Third Season of the Series Come Out?

As of writing, there is no official release date yet for The White Lotus Season 3.

According to HBO and Max chairman/CEO Casey Bloys, The White Lotus Season 3 won't likely be ready until 2025 due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that have both officially ended.

Mike White also shared an update on November 7, 2023, regarding the third season (via Variety):

“I’m seriously finishing scripts. Still waiting to be able to cast. If the SAG strike isn’t resolved soon, then yeah, we’d have to push again because the show has a new cast every season, so there’s lots of parts to cast … I’m more than eager to get going.”

The White Lotus Season 3 was announced on the third week of November 2022, with only three episodes of Season 2 premiered.

Francesca Orsi, HBO's Head of Drama, released a statement about the series’ renewal.

Reflecting on The White Lotus humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.

The White Lotus Season 3 Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Series?

Natasha Rothwell will reprise her Season 1 role as Belinda. A report from Deadline also revealed character details for Season 3.

According to the report, The White Lotus will once again feature a "sprawling, multi-generational cast." Characters for Season 3 will include "a patriarch, a corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, a misfit and a yogi."

Some of the cast members from earlier seasons include Sydney Sweeney, Alexandra Daddario, Murray Bartlett, Jake Lacy, Theo James, Sabrina Impacciatore, Meghann Fahy, and Michael Imperioli.

The White Lotus Season 3 Plot: What Will the Third Season Be About?

We still do not know the plot of The White Lotus Season 3. It will likely follow the same formula as the first two seasons, which is set up in a luxury The White Lotus somewhere in the world.

Additionally, White also said that the third season will be "longer, bigger, crazier." White told Variety:

“It’s going to be a supersized ‘White Lotus. It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season.”

Is There a Trailer for The White Lotus Season 3?

There is still no trailer for The White Lotus Season 3. If the third season follows the same trend as the first two, the trailer will be released a few weeks before the official premiere of the upcoming season.
