White Chicks’ Marlon Wayans Would Love to Play the DCEU's Plastic Man

The DCEU may have been on hold for a while, but after hits like Aquaman and Shazam!, everyone thinks that the franchise is slowly gaining back its footing. We have no news on whether DC would love to introduce a Plastic Man, but someone has already brought up their name for the part.

Talking to ScreenRant, Marlon Wayans (White Chicks) explained:

"I would love to play Plastic Man. I think he works with the comedic skill set that I have, in terms of how I'm physical, I'm bendy. And I think it'd be cool to just do it without... You know, what's great about Black Panther is he's a black superhero, right? But sometimes [it's fun] to just do something. Like, you wouldn't think Plastic Man was a black guy, but it's not black - it's just, he's plastic. I think it'd be fun for me, because I know I got to add my humor to it. The only two superheroes I ever really wanted to play was Plastic Man and The Mask. Those are the two superhero films I would love to play."

Wayans is definitely right when he says that he's a very physical actor, and if anything, Plastic Man is an obscure enough character that the studio can take enough liberties when bringing him to the big screen. Then again, we have no idea if we'll ever get a Plastic Man in the future, or if there are plans to bring him in at all. All we can really do is wait.

What's interesting is, back in the 90s, Wayans was actually in line to play Robin for Tim Burton's Batman Returns, but the concept was dropped and they recast the character with Chris O'Donnell. Maybe Plastic Man could be Wayans' chance to finally be a superhero.

We don't know if Wayans is in line for any comic book movie in the future, but the DCEU is set to release Joker this coming Oct. 4.
