Watch the Batman Movies Free: March 2022 Update
- All the Batman movies are available to rent or purchase on Amazon Video and YouTube Movies, with the exception of Justice League: The Snyder Cut.
With The Batman (2022) due out in theaters, there's no better time to binge all the live-action Batman movies. Starting way back in 1966, the Bat of Gotham has enjoyed numerous outings on the silver screen, whether camp or serious, tame or brutal - everyone's favorite crimefighter has done it all, with many actors having donned the iconic cape and cowl.
In fact, the Batman movies are a little like James Bond movies, in that the marketing for a new installment almost always revolves around which actor has been cast as the titular vigilante, as well as who is set to play his iconic foes. However, it's fair to say that 007 is winning in the numbers game (unless we were to count the animated Batman flicks).
In Matt Reeves' upcoming film, Batman/Bruce Wayne will be played by Robert Pattinson, while Paul Dano will give us his take on The Riddler (whose real name is Edward Nygma, though there have been many variations), with Zoe Kravitz as Selena Kyle AKA Catwoman, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin (known formerly as Oswald Cobblepot).
But before you watch the new reboot, you might wish to binge all the Bats that have come before it, from Adam West to Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer to George Clooney, and Christian Bale to Ben Affleck. First, though, you might need a refresher on just how many live-action Batman movies there have been. So here they are...
- Batman: The Movie (1966)
- Batman (1989)
- Batman Returns (1992)
- Batman Forever (1995)
- Batman and Robin (1997)
- Batman Begins (2005)
- The Dark Knight (2008)
- The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
- Justice League (2017)
- Justice League: The Snyder Cut (2021)
In total, there are five separate continuities between these 11 movies - there's the original 1966 Adam West movie, which is the big screen adaptation of the '60s shows; there are the four movies that started with Tim Burton's two movies, followed by Joel Schumacher's two entries; Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy; Joss Whedon's Justice League, and, of course, the Snyder Cut, which follows on from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Now let's find out where you can rent, purchase, or stream them all online!
Are the Batman Movies on Netflix?
While The Dark Knight Rises is strangely missing, you'll still find Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Netflix. As for any other Batman movies, sadly not. But you can't go too wrong with what is still considered the most popular streaming service, though. For $8.99 per month Basic, $13.99 Standard, or $17.99 Premium, you can enjoy a huge volume of TV shows, documentaries, kids content, and more.
Are the Batman Movies on Hulu?
You'll find the original four-movie Batman franchise on Hulu. Prices for this streaming service currently start at $6.99 per month, or $69.99 for the whole year. For the ad-free version, it's $12.99 per month, $64.99 per month for Hulu + Live TV, or $70.99 for the ad-free Hulu + Live TV.
Are the Batman Movies on Disney Plus?
There are no Batman movies on Disney+, which is really no surprise, seeing as it's the home of the MCU and not the DCEU! Home to the likes of Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic, ESPN, STAR and so much more, Disney+ is available at the annual membership fee of $79.99, or the monthly cost of $7.99. If you're a fan of even one of these brands, then signing up to Disney+ is definitely worth it, and there aren't any ads, either.
Are the Batman Movies on Amazon Video?
Great news! With the exception of Justice League: The Snyder Cut, you'll find every single Batman movie available to rent or purchase on Amazon Video!
Are the Batman Movies on HBO Max?
You'll find both Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, as well as all three DCEU movies (including both versions of Justice League), on HBO Max. If you're still interested in the service, it's $14.99 per month, which gives you full access to the entire vault, and is also ad-free, or $9.99 per month with ads. However, the annual versions for both are cheaper, with the ad-free plan at $150 and the ad-supported plan at $100.
Are the Batman Movies on Peacock?
Sadly, there are no Batman movies on Peacock. Nevertheless, Peacock Premium costs $4.99 monthly, or $49.99 for the whole year. To go ad-free, it's $9.99 monthly, or $100 for the year.
Are the Batman Movies on Paramount Plus?
The caped crusader can't be found on Paramount+, either. To enjoy this service, though, the Basic package will cost you $4.99 per month with ads, while the ad-free Premium package will cost $9.99 per month. If you purchase the annual plans, Paramount+ Premium is $8.33 per month, and Paramount+ Essential is $4.17 per month.
Are the Batman Movies on YouTube Movies?
Just like with Amazon Video, with the exception of Justice League: The Snyder Cut, you'll find every single Batman movie available to rent or purchase on YouTube!
