There are more witches for Guideau to pursue, so her quest to break the witch's curse continues in the manga series Japanese mangaka Kousuke Satake has written and illustrated.

How Much of The Witch and the Beast Did the Anime Cover?

The Witch and the Beast consists of 12 episodes that follow Guideau and Ashaf's travels as they seek witches and solve magic-related cases as the Order of the Magical Resonance directed.

The first episode introduces Guideau, an impetuous and irritable blonde girl with a nasty temper who has a deep loathing for witches.

A witch cursed her for unknown reasons, so she cooperated with Ashaf the sorcerer to find her.

As the plot unfolded, Guideau and Ashaf became entangled in a series of magic-related situations, most of which were staged by a witch or an executioner.

In addition to Guideau and Ashaf, The Witch and the Beast introduced additional characters, such as the necromancer witch Phanora Kristoffel and her human familiar Johan.

On top of that, Matt Cugat of the Paladin Corps and Helga Velvette, the Dauntless Witch were introduced.

By the end of episode 12, the anime also showed the very first time Guideau and Ashaf encountered each other.

The first season of The Witch and the Beast included chapters 1–28 of the manga series. In other words, the anime adapted five volumes of the manga.

You should begin reading The Witch and the Beast manga from volume 6, chapter 29.

It heralds the start of another assignment for Guideau and Ashaf, this time dealing with vampires.

The Witch and the Beast manga is still running, with 10 volumes published. It began publication in Young Magazine in 2016, transitioning to Monthly Young Magazine in 2021.

Kodansha USA holds the English license for the manga series. The first chapter which is 65 pages long and translated into English is free to read on Kodansha USA's website.
