How Much of Sasaki and Miyano Did Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation Cover?
The Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation anime film covered the entirety of Volume 7 of the Sasaki and Miyano manga series, from Chapters 33.5 (A Little Something About Going Home) to 39 (Graduation).
The anime film starts with the events of Volume 2, Chapter 12.2 (A Little Something About Hirano and His Kouhai), which shows some moments between Hirano and his roommate Kagiura.
There are other moments between Hirano and Kagiura sprinkled throughout the film, so if you ship the two of them, you'll be delighted with their intimate and wholesome moments.
Similar to Sasaki and Miyano, Hirano and Kagiura’s budding romance is also entertaining to watch. They have a very cute and adorable relationship, even though their romance is slowly taking off.
Meanwhile, the first season of the Sasaki and Miyano TV anime covered manga volumes 1 through 6, which means there’s little material left in the manga series that has not yet been adapted into anime.
The Sasaki and Miyano manga series is still ongoing, and there’s no sign that it will end anytime soon, which means there’s a possibility that a second season can happen sometime in the future.
Where to Start Reading the Sasaki and Miyano Manga After Graduation
The Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation film ends in Chapter 39 of the manga series, so you can opt to start reading from Chapter 39.1 (A Little Something About Spring Break) or Volume 8, Chapter 40: First Time.
There are two extra chapters before Chapter 40, which you can enjoy before proceeding with the main storyline. The extra chapters are diabetically-inducing, so be warned!
In Chapter 39.1, Sasaki comes over to Miyano’s house after they get wet in the rain on the way home from the cinema.
Miyano got worried over Sasaki (who recently caught a fever) and asked him to change into his father’s clothes.
In Chapter 39.2 (A Little Something About Jealousy), Kagiura gets jealous of a dog, much to Hirano’s delight. Kagiura ends up buying a dog plushie for Hirano.
On the other hand, Chapter 40 begins with a new school year as Miyano, along with Kuresawa and Tashiro, are now in their third year of high school.
If you want to see more of Hirano and Kagiura, whose relationship was briefly explored in the anime film, you can start reading the spinoff manga series Hirano and Kagiura from the beginning.
Hirano and Kagiura is still ongoing, having released four manga volumes as of writing.
What to Expect From the Manga After Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation
Following the events of Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation, Sasaki and Miyano will have to adjust to their new setup.
They’re now going to different schools, pushing Sasaki to his limits. He only wants to be with his boyfriend, Miyano, just like they used to be.
In the first few chapters after the anime film, Sasaki and Miyano will meet up after school to talk about what happened during the day.
Miyano informs Sasaki that Kuresawa’s girlfriend lent him some BL manga, which is a first for him.
Sasaki and Miyano will also have a sweet moment in a bookstore after Miyano encounters Makimura.
It all started with Miyano’s curiosity about Sasaki’s piercings. He wants Sasaki to be the one to make a mark on his ear forever if he ever gets one.
